This is a full circle story.
Mona was in foster available for adoption at Oakland Animal Services when her foster noticed that she was lethargic. She came in to see our shelter vets, when they noticed she was unable to stand or walk. They carried her into the vet treatment area. When they picked her up a large amount of pus came out of her vulva. She was diagnosed with pyometra and Dr. Tracy Huang performed emergency surgery on her that day.
She went back to foster and recovered and got adopted by the current dog foster coordinator at Oakland Animal Services.
She came to Vets in Vans for a veterinarian exam and saw Dr. Tracy Huang! She’s still as sweet as we remember her and it was so wonderful to see her fully recovered and in a loving home!
We love to see our patients from Oakland Animal Services!
