10 year old Smitty received an enucleation (removal of the eye) after he developed sudden, painful anterior lens luxation. We were able to give him a lot of cuddles and love post surgery and his mom reports that he’s recovering well at home! Good luck Smitty! We loved cuddling with your 4lb tiny self!

Here is our patient Nala and her mom’s testimonial: “Nala is our family’s first pet, a 7 year old pomeranian/poodle. Just two weeks ago she started acting off and became entirely blind overnight. She was then diagnosed with diabetes, and just a couple of days later, pyometra came up. Her vet bills were so extensive, we couldn’t afford pyometra surgery anywhere and were going to have to settle for euthanasia on Tuesday the 29th. I was able to get an appointment with you guys on Monday the 28th, just a day before we planned to put her down. We were scared she wasn’t going to pull through until Monday as she was very very sick but she did. Coming into the clinic everybody seemed genuinely happy to help; all of the employees were nothing but wonderful, all of the patients and families there seemed so grateful to have some accessible help for their pets. Nala is doing so much better already since then and it’s only been two days. We were very lucky to have found you guys. I’m not sure if I did this right but I really want to put an emphasis on thanking you guys! You saved Nala, and to say you did it just in time is an understatement. The community needs more people like you and I’ll continue to root for and support you guys.” Thank you for entrusting us with Nala’s care and we are so happy we could help!

Bruno is a 12 week old pup who came to our clinic because he had an aural hematoma. This is when the ear flap swells up with blood because of trauma, ear infections, allergies, or excessive head shaking. His owners reached out to us because she needed help with his care. Through @sagecompassionforanimals we were able to surgically repair his hematoma. He’s doing great in the home and the owners are so happy he’s doing much better. He’s back to playing with his best friend at home!

Remember Tiny our hit by car dog who received a life saving enucleation? Tiny came back for a recheck and he’s doing great! His family reports that he’s doing very well at home and that his youngest family member is so happy to have him healthy at home! Here is one of our techs, Karen, with him post suture removal. She is a fluent Spanish speaker and we are able to help more families access veterinary care by eliminating the language barrier. They’re very thankful for all we have done for him and their family! Go Tiny!
