Introducing: Dr. Tracy Huang Dr. Tracy Huang is Co-Founder and Co Executive Director of Vets in Vans. As a veterinary student at UC Davis, she recognized the lack of accessible veterinary care and was inspired to organize MASH-style veterinary clinics in remote communities, including Indian reservations and rural Nicaragua. Throughout her time working among for-profit clinics, nonprofit clinics, and municipal animal shelters, she has accumulated diverse experiences that have gifted her with valuable insight into the complexity of the socioeconomic factors that prevent animals from receiving adequate veterinary care. As a community outreach veterinarian, her passion is to provide veterinary care to communities with barriers to accessible veterinary care.

Introducing: Dr. Lauren Park. As a Co-founder and Co Executive Director of Vets in Vans, she draws inspiration from her experience as a Shelter Veterinarian in both private and municipal shelter settings. While practicing at shelters, she constantly battled a gap in community access to veterinary care in urgent care, preventative care, surgeries, dentals, and even basic medical care. This lack of accessible veterinary care frequently resulted in pet surrenders, which sadly would have been otherwise preventable. She started Vets in Vans to focus on communities at highest risk for shelter surrenders in order to provide them with the veterinary care they need. Her passion and goals aim to decrease shelter intake by filling the gap in access to care -- therefore keeping families together with their pets.
