This is Nina. She’s an 8 year old big hunk of love. Her mom was very worried because she was bleeding from her nose. She took her to the emergency clinic and they found a foxtail in her nostril, but she couldn’t afford the emergency fees to remove the foxtail. She reached out to us for help. Foxtails can be very dangerous and can travel into the brain or lungs. We were able to remove the foxtail safely with sedation! Nina had grown very fond of our Systems Director and wouldn’t leave his side until her mom came back to pick her up. Everyone loves Willy! We’re so happy we were able to help Nina and her family. She can now go back to being a happy couch hippo without worrying about a dangerous foxtail in her nose!

Le Tigre came to us because his caretaker said he stopped eating for several days. He’s a community cat that comes by for food and pets. His caretaker noticed he was drooling and pawing at his face and refusing food. She brought him in and we found that he had multiple tooth root abscesses. We performed a dental and removed his diseased teeth. We also neutered him at the same time. The next day, the caretaker reported that he ate a whole bowl of food and scampered away to his new pain free life. Good luck Le Tigre!

Miracle’s mom reached out to us because she was diagnosed with an infection of the uterus called pyometra. A pyometra can be a life threatening condition. Miracle was very sick and wasn’t eating. She was very worried and needed help. We were able to fit her in on the surgery schedule the next day. @sagecompassionforanimals was able to fund the surgery and Miracle is back home with her loving family. We’re so happy that we were able to help Miracle and her family and we’re so fortunate to have partners who can help families and their pets.

Poncho’s mom came to us for help. She was very worried about him because he stopped eating, was extremely lethargic and painful. We performed an exam and found that he had severe dental disease. It was too painful for him to eat. We were able to perform dental surgery on him and removed all his diseased teeth. He has no teeth remaining but is now able to eat soft food without any pain! Poncho is so much happier at home and his mom is so thankful we got to help little Poncho get back to his sweet cuddly self.
